SE Asia

Our flight from Bangkok took us 2 hours to this UNESCO World Heritage City of 40k. Very quaint city with19th Century French Colonial villas mixed with Lao-style homes. Tourism has flourished here since 2000 and there are many different nationalities in the town.

This fellow is carrying a 2x12 on his shoulders.

Buses are not allowed in the city so our mode of transportation is the Tuk Tuk.

The Mekong River meets the Khan River. Laos is very green, lush and mountainous.

Our group climbed 328 steps to Phousi Hill to take photos. By the way, the temperatures were much cooler than in Thailand, 70's. Ahhhhhh.

Our Stepmaster away from home.
