SE Asia Day 2

Bangkok has a population of over 8 million and 14 million in the greater region. Roughly 8 million cars take to the streets and of those, at least 90% are Japanese built, Toyota and Honda dominate. In the two days we have spent in this city, we have not seen an American car!

Guess what this is?

Statute of King Rama who established Bangkok.

We walked through Lumpini Park which is surrounded by high rises. In the 1980's and 1990's Bangkok grew dramatically as a major business and financial center.

The park is encircled by walking, running and a cycle paths. We lost several photos showing the true size of this park. Sorry.

Here's our friend, a four-foot monitor lizard, along the sidewalk.
